"ABRUZZO WINE DISCOVERIES - ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE"
Abruzzo is the 4th Region in Italy for wine production with more than thousand wine producers. The province of Chieti is the largest wine producing area in Abruzzo, where some of the best and renowned wineries are found. Nicola Priori's winery is certainly amongst one of them, but was surprised that still not many people knew of its existance. Tucked away from the Costa dei Trabocchi, still with beautiful views over it, Priori's wines are a true representation of the unique Terroir in this particular area. The hard work, the passion, the love, and the commitment to stay true to their belief, and mission without compromise, has created three fantastic wines
The Pecorino I.G.P. a white wine extremely well balanced, with pleasant minerality. The beautiful Cerasuolo D'Abruzzo D.O.C. Rosè wine made by 100% Montepulciano D'Abruzzo grapes. Its name comes from Cerasa, cherry in Abruzzese dialect, and it fits perfectly what we had in the glass, light cherries parfumes and taste, refreshing, absolutely a delight for our palate. And to finish in style we had Ettore and his dad Nicola's pride and joy, the Priori 2018 Montepulciano D'Abruzzo D.O.C. Now all the talks about Terroir were making all sense, and couldn't taste any better than what we had in our glass. The food that Ettore's mum prepared perfectly paired with each wine making this experience one of the best we had so far....
