"10 NIGHTS IN SICILY: DAY 2, VOLCANIC WINES & THE BLACK CITY"

We took a short walk to the amazing main square of Acireale for a lovely look around and to admire the beautiful Cathedral of the Saints Peter and Paul. Time to hop on our bus and with our fantastic Alessandro at the wheels towards Mount Etna. If you think about Lava, eruptions, destructions not for one moment would you think that from the ashes something so delicious could be extracted. So with Fabio, Tony and little Edoardo Sava we learned about the superb ETNA D.O.C. Wines... We could have easily stayed there whole day, and probably longer... but Catania, known as the "Black City", and our great guide Francesca were waiting for us... Sicily is an incredible huge casket full of many precious gems, and certainly Catania is one of them... and the scrumptious gelato we had at the end of the visit was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
