Tour Program

DAY 1

Arrival at Pescara Airport and meet with your assistant who will give you your welcome pack. Transfer to your accommodation and check in. In the afternoon a fun traditional Abruzzese pasta making workshop followed by dinner with wine.

 

DAY 2

Breakfast; 9am transfer to the vineyards for a hands-on grape harvest experience. This is a pretty much full-on morning so we recommend comfortable shoes and clothing, sun hat, 30+ sun protection and mosquito repellent. You will be provided with a pair of secateurs, a basket or crate to put the grapes in, you will be guided on how to cut and choose the best bunches to harvest. At the end of the morning the traditional lunch with typical products and that glass of vino we all worked so hard for. Mid-afternoon transfer back to your accommodation and rest of the day free to relax by the pool. At 8pm dinner with wine at the hotel restaurant.

 

DAY 3

Breakfast; The “Ciclovia dei Trabocchi”, one of Abruzzo’s most famous landmarks, a beautiful unspoilt coastline with its little coves and dotted with the iconic ancient fishing wooden huts, “Trabocco”. Some of them have been transformed into gourmet fish restaurants and today you will enjoy this unique eating experiences depending on availability at time of booking. After lunch transfer back to the Hotel Miramare Village or slowly, walk back along the footpath and enjoy a nice ice-cream, or just sunbathe on the beaches and have a swim in the beautiful crystal-clear blue waters. Rest of the day and evening free for you to enjoy at your leisure.

 

DAY 4

Breakfast; at 9.30am. Transfer to the city of Lanciano. Walk through its beautifully preserved medieval part, the Jewish Quarter, the San Francis Church with the first recorded Eucharistic Miracle, the Basilica of the Madonna del Ponte and the roman Diocletian Bridge. Time for a free wander along the high street lined with great shops and bars. Departure to visit a bespoke winery, to taste some of the best Montepulciano D’Abruzzo produced in this area, accompanied by a selection of local products. Return to hotel MIramare and rest of the day free. At 8pm dinner with wine at the hotel restaurant.

 

DAY 5

Practical advices

Spring to Autmn trip we recommend you bring factor 30+ sun protection, sun hat, mosquito repellent, beach wear, light jumper/sweater, water proof. Late Autumn and Winter sensible warm clothing, comfortable walking/trainer shoes necessary for some activities are advisable.
