Tour Program

DAY 1

We bypass the standard tourist tracks to immerse you in Vasto’s rich Spanish-Italian heritage. Your journey begins at the commanding Castello Caldoresco, where our expert guide brings the town's defensive history to life. We will walk through the elegant Piazza Rossetti, head towards the Romanesque Cathedral of San Pietro and continuing to the magnificent Palazzo d’Avalos. We will walk its grand halls and step into the private, Neapolitan-style panoramic gardens framing the glittering Gulf of Vasto. Next, we fast-forward through time to ancient Histonium to marvel at the intricate 2nd-century marine masterpieces inside the Roman Baths. The tour experience will take you at the stunning church of Santa Maria Maggiore to discover two incredible Renaissance Masterpieces, and conclude with a leisurely stroll through the hidden medieval alleys of the Santa Maria quarter and along the cliffside Loggia Amblingh. From here breathtaking views over the Coast and its traditional ancient Trabocchi fishing platforms can be admired. We will enjoy a typical aperitivo—featuring artisanal local products and a glass of delicious Abruzzo's wine or a more indulgent Aperol Spritz

  • Ancient Histonium: Exclusive access to the Roman Baths to view the historic marine mosaics
